Overtoning Playshop with Jim Cole and Spectral Voices

An evening of exploration through overtone singing

With Jim Cole and the Spectral Voices singing group

In the Awakening Room

This will be an experiential playshop guided by Jim Cole, creator of the group Spectral Voices. Jim will introduce 2 basic styles of overtone singing and engage the participants in practice.  After some play and tips for refining the basic techniques, there will be opportunity for questions.  All will join in to improvise group overtone singing, with members of Spectral Voices assisting participants in further refining their voices for overtone singing.  We will explore the wondrous interactions of overtones as we all sing together.

Prior singing or musical experience helpful but not necessary.

Parking: Park in the back at the very last building. Go through the back entrance door and follow signs to Awakening Room.
